Getting Started
Welcome to Last Breath Hardcore. Your first hour matters more than your first diamond: build safe habits, play for consistency, and treat every decision as permanent.
Hardcore first-day plan (0–60 minutes)
- Gather wood, stone tools, and enough food to keep saturation high.
- Craft a shield before looking for long cave routes.
- Sleep or bunker before full dark unless you have full control of terrain.
- Set a temporary stash away from obvious travel lines.
- Scout base location options and commit to a defensible first bunker.
Server mechanics to learn immediately
- Build your main storage below Y=28 for better long-term secrecy and safer routing.
- There is no combat log protection. Logging out while threatened is not a survival tactic.
- Aggro can persist through logouts. Re-login expecting danger, not safety.
- Totems can save void falls, but void deaths still carry major item-loss consequences.
Use the misc plugin advantages
- Keep a torch in your hand when traveling nights or roofless terrain to reduce phantom pressure. See the server note in Purpur Misc Extras → Torch & Phantom Control.
- Path correctly for speed. Road systems made from approved path materials are faster to traverse. Full list: Run Faster on Path Blocks.
- Coordinate with trusted teammates using proximity comms via Simple Voice Chat integration.
Before you leave spawn region
- Carry: shield, blocks, water bucket, food stack, and backup pickaxe.
- Mark fallback coordinates and a second emergency kit.
- Do not contest events or bosses until your team has replacements for full gear loss.
