In Hardcore, the best fighter is the player who chooses the right fight. Commit only when your exit plan is already built.
PvP survival fundamentals
- Always open with terrain advantage: elevation, corners, and chokepoints.
- Force shield trades only with backup food and clear spacing routes.
- Carry two weapon options: one for burst, one for durability control.
- Disengage early if your armor durability or hunger drops below comfort.
- Gracestone extra lives are disabled while you are in PvP combat. Dealing or taking player damage refreshes a shared 5-minute combat timer.
- Once 5 full minutes pass without any player-vs-player hit involving you, your Gracestone extra lives reactivate automatically.
Mob combat in a permadeath server
- Never chase into dark gradients; make mobs path to your light instead.
- Torch your retreat path first, loot second.
- Use doors, slabs, and water flow to split hostile packs.
